Police responding to description of domestic violence at a home on th Street discovered a man who had been stabbed Photo courtesy of OnScene TV A man was stabbed to death in Grant Hill early Saturday and a woman detained following reports of an attempted break-in At approximately a m San Diego police dispatchers received a call from a resident in the block of th Street functionaries declared She accused her friend s boyfriend of domestic violence and revealed he was attempting to force his way into the home to assault the woman Officers from Central Division responded and detected a man suffering from at least one stab wound to the torso They attempted to treat him until paramedics arrived and transported the man to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead at about a m He is described as a -year-old Hispanic male He has been identified but police withheld his name pending family notifications The other parties involved in the development were still at the location when officers arrived police noted The suspect is described as a -year-old Hispanic female She was detained but distributed pending additional inquiry Preliminary information police commented indicates that the boyfriend who did not live at the home forced his way inside by kicking in the door as he threatened to assault his girlfriend who was inside Once he gained entry he was stabbed at least once Detectives want to know what led up to the fight and stabbing and plan to collect video evidence interview observers and conduct a detailed examination and analysis of the scene Anyone with information regarding the occurrence may call the Homicide Unit at - - or Crime Stoppers at -
